Salamanca island Road Park
(eco-tourism)
In this year, I visited with my family the Salamanca island Road Park, it is a national park which is located in the Caribbean Region of Colombia, on the eastern outskirts of the city of Barranquilla in the Magdalena department. Definitely, It is one of the best places that I have seen.
The flora and fauna is in abundance because of the confluence of sweet water flowing from the Magdalena River and saline water of the Caribbean sea.In that place we can find 98 species of invertebrates, 9 species of amphibians, 35 species of reptiles, more than 140 fish species, 199 birds, many of them migratory, endemic and residents. The existence of 33 species of mammals indicates that diversity holding area is high, despite the environmental problems affecting the ecosystem.
That is a place where we can interact with nature, we can hear the birdsong and relax. Is perfect for enjoy with family, because it is a place where we forget our cell phones and we reflect about how can we take care of nature.
In that place we can do activities that help the eviroment like go in canoes, roads surrounded by mangrove; plant trees, and learn more about nature and history. I think it's one of the best experiences that I've had.
